Charlotte's Thanksgiving Run Down

Charlotte's teachers sent us an e-mail yesterday.  They asked all of the kids what they thought about Thanksgiving and what they would be doing on Thanksgiving.  They also asked them for cooking tips.  They sent us the whole classes' responses..they were hilarious.  Here is Charlotte's:

Guess what? I already know what we are doing for Thanksgiving! We are going to Grandma Judy’s house. She lives far away. We take the car. It takes just 70 minutes. Dad is going to get the turkey when he gets the cake. It comes from the farm. It’s not going to be real. It will be dead. I think Grandma Judy will cook the turkey. She will cook it in the oven with blueberries on it. I think the oven is 100 degrees. Hmm...maybe it will cook for 15 hours. Maybe I should look at it. I will see if Grandma Judy has a compass to see when the turkey is done. We will eat peas like in the book we read for Thanksgiving at the library. I think also chicken nuggets and fries, but NOT from McDonald’s. Sometimes Mom makes it. For dessert, we will have pumpkin pie. Grown-ups drink wine. Kids drink Sprite.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Golden Birthday, Nathan!!!!

Today, my nugget turned 3 years old!!!  You turned 3 on the 3rd, it's your golden birthday!  I cannot believe how fast the time is going by and how big you are getting!! It is so bittersweet watching you get older.  I am so thrilled you are growing and learning new things and becoming more independent. But, I am also sad because you are my baby!!  Even though, whenever I say that to you, you immediately say, "I'm NOT a baby, I'm a BIG boy!"

I am so happy that you are loving your little Threeschool class.  I was so worried at first, but now you are the first one to run into class when they open the doors.  Thankfully, we got past our "Max Phase."

You are ALL boy...just as I am trying to type this blog post, you are sticking your foot in my face telling me to smell your stinky foot, lol!! It's hard to corral your craziness sometimes.  You have a LOT of energy and it takes a LOT of energy to direct it in appropriate ways :)  You are doing so well at gymnastics and listening to your coach.  You make me so proud!  Even she can't believe how strong you are!

Your smile brightens my day, everyday!  You are the sweetest boy and your silliness makes me smile and reminds me not to take life too seriously.  You give the best hugs and I love that I am on the receiving end of most of them!  I love every night when I tuck you into bed, you tell me to "watch out for scary things..."  "Like, coyotes, ghosts, goblins, and pencils that can draw on you..."

I can't wait for another year of laughter and love with you, my favorite boy!  Love you!!!

Here's some pictures from Nathan's big Toy Story Party!!!  It was a blast!

Happy Birthday Natey!  Most people said to me, "I knew you would be all Cowboy'ed up when we saw you!"  Hello...when I have a theme, I'm all in.

Halloween

Well, I lied.  I just got back from 5:30 am bootcamp and I can't sleep...so, why not upload a few Halloween pictures for you all!  We had a great time trick or treating.  Of course, there were a few minor meltdowns, but overall it was good.  It was a chilly day, so I ran out to get them each a few pairs of Cuddle Duds to wear under their costumes.  It worked like a charm, they stayed nice and toasty.  Nate fell about 14 times while he was running.  Charlotte ripped the outer layer of her dress and so she kept tripping on it and falling...so, after her hand started bleeding, I tore the crinoline off to reveal the beautiful blue skirt...and she about died.  I had RUINED Halloween forever.  She told every person who opened their door that mommy had ruined her dress.  DRAMA!  I really thought she was never going to get over it.  We went trick or treating with our neighbors down the cul-de-sac. They have twins who are Charlotte's age and they will be going to Kindergarten together next year.  All in all, it was a great day and they had a big haul.  So much so, that we had to start dumping candy out of their pumpkins because they were getting to heavy...again, DRAMA....it was as if we were going to steal their candy and never give it back.  So, we had to settle for keeping the pumpkins in the wagon and letting them go up to each house and bringing the candy back to the wagon.  Nate just couldn't balance with such a heavy load...you know him, he doesn't need any help falling.

Getting ready to Trick or Treat!
 Buzz Lightyear and Cinderella!
 Nate looks so innocent here!

We went trick or treating with our neighbors and their dad was dressed as The Flash!  It was awesome!
