Tired

Charlotte passed out eating lunch after a hard day of being Charlotte....

Random Observation

Wow...I take a lot of pictures of my kids eating pure crap. Cupcakes, suckers, ice cream cones, push ups, pretzels, s'mores.... I swear, they eat healthy!!! Nate just ate TWO pumpkin pancakes for breakfast and Char just had yogurt and an apple for a snack. This blog makes me look like a terrible mom...who writes this thing anyway????

Grandma's Birthday

On Sunday, we spent the day out at the Clinnin's to celebrate Grandma's birthday. We all had a great time. Here are some pics of Charlotte helping Grandma blow out her candle. Nate was passed out upstairs....he just partied too hard.
Yummy...

On Monday, we took a trip back to Lincoln Park to visit with Susan. It was very strange to be back in our old building... We visited, had lunch and went for a ride around the block. It didn't take Char long to remember that we had to go see Linda the Dry Cleaner because she has suckers for the kids!

Nate's Nursery

Well, he's almost a year old...but I am finally pretty much done with Nathan's nursery!!! I just finished my big project of putting his name on the wall today. So, here are a few pics!

Nate's Christmas present from Colleen, Andy, Mary and Phil from last year. Finally at home in his room!!!

Also, the kid's bathroom is finally complete!! So in love with this room! Here are a few pics, it's hard to take good pics of a bathroom...let me tell you!
Their hippo shower curtain....LOVE IT
My cousin, Emma, painted canvas paintings of Hippos to match the shower curtain! I love how it ties the whole room together!
The kids towels....Nathan is a dragon and Charlotte is a butterfly

Last, but not least, a few pics of Nate chilling in Charlotte's princess chair....he's totally confident in his manhood...he just likes a comfy chair :)

Picture Dump

Here's some pictures that I had stored on my cell phone...thought I would post. Some of you might already have seen them on Facebook or through text...

Char deciding it was necessary to put lip gloss on while wearing a ski hat and toting a purse and basket. She's not like her Aunt Liz at all...
When we were at my parent's house...Nate, well...he had a diaper blowout. Of course, this happened the ONE time I didn't have a spare outfit and we were on our way home. So, we put one of Emily's tank tops on him for the ride. He either looks like a Roman Gladiator in a toga or a mini White Trash Hobo in a wifebeater. We can't decide.
Charlotte after her flu shot...no shot's gonna take this girl down!
(Sticker in one hand, sucker in the other)
Char and Nate rocking the "car grocery cart" at Jewel
(And...I absolutely spent an entire 5 minutes wiping that thing down with disinfectant wipes before letting them ride in it.....psycho?? Mabye. )
Kevin was out of town...these two made sure that I didn't have the bed to myself
Nate sporting a Beatles shirt at Hobby Lobby
Some of the 40-some odd geese that live (and poop) in our Cul-de-sac

Nate is Walking...I'm in trouble now!!!

Yes...it's true. Nate is walking. Not "full time." If he really wants something bad enough, he will crawl...but he is a walker! I'll grab some pics and video soon!

We had a great weekend! We had our friends over for dinner and Charlotte got to play with her new friend, Amanda. They had so much fun playing in the ball pit, making Play Doh creations, and watching Dora. She was sad when "her friend" left :)

Charlotte and Amanda "getting cozy" watching Wonder Pets (Still haven't broken the pacifier habit)
Trying to get a few pics before our guests arrived...Nate is SO much more cooperative with pictures than Charlotte, she is a stinker!
My loves!
On Friday, we went to the Zoo with Liz and Mike. We had SO much fun! We are "zoo members" now, so we hope to go a lot! Charlotte had a great time showing them all of the animals. She had a 20 minute meltdown in the car on the way there. Liz and Mike came to our house first and then we drove separate cars to the zoo. Charlotte freaked out and was screaming for Liz and Mike (more so Mike....sorry, Liz) because she thought they left. "I want my Mike!!! I want him to come to the zoo! How do you make a 2 year old understand that they are in the car behind us...

Liz and Charlotte checking out the Tigers
Mike showing Charlotte the Polar Bears
Our lovely guests, Mike and Liz

Char and Nate enjoying a Push-Up...Yum!!!
This is SOOOOO good!

Ice Cream Makes it All Better!

Charlotte fell down this evening and bit her lip...what makes a bloody lip feel better? An ice cream cone, of course! And, we couldn't let just Charlotte have an ice cream cone! Here are some pics of Charlotte recovering from her "injury" and Nate enjoying his first ice cream cone...he was a total natural..probably not a good thing.

I don't need your help, Mommy
So good!
I feel better now
Yeah, it's okay now!
Eating our ice cream together!

Cheer, Cheer, Cheer for IOWA!

In honor of today's battle with Iowa State (boo) here are a few pictures of my future Hawkeyes (fingers crossed) to wish Iowa luck!!!!

Fashionista!

Last night, I went shopping (alone!) for some new fall clothes for the kids. The weather is starting to change and we are a little unprepared with drawers filled with tank tops and shorts. The moment I came home, Charlotte dove for the bags and started tearing through them throwing clothes left and right...demanding to try them all on. Here are a few pics of her trying on her fall fashions!

Winter coat with fur lined hood and brown slouchy boots...why not?
Char loves her "croc shoes" Mommy doesn't care if some people hate them...they are awesome! She can put them on by herself and they are easy to clean :)
Warm vest perfect for apple picking later in the month!
Even Nate got in on the action!!
New jammies....my favorite!
