Sweet Treat!

On Friday, I was just "hanging" around in the playroom waiting for my special kiddies to come and find me :) Over the weekend, I was so tired from staying up late...I didn't do anything to exciting, I just moved around. The kids were still so excited to find me...that's why I love them I don't have to do crazy things every night..they love me just the same :)

It's a candy cane swing!
The note I left for Charlotte and Nathan
Arm deep in her stocking
Nate never met a sugar concoction that he didn't like!
She's so happy!!! Until she tasted them and quickly spit them in the garbage....backfire!

A Drive in Movie Date

This morning, the kids were really excited to find me and Barbie on a Drive in Movie date! We hopped into her pink convertible and went to a showing of my favorite movie, Elf of course! Charlotte loved seeing me in the car with Barbie...but I'm not quite sure she knows what a Drive in Movie is or what a film reel is :)

Up, Up and AWAY!!!!

Yesterday, I wanted to get a different perspective...so, I rigged up a "hot air balloon" and floated around the house. Well, I floated for a while anyway... By the time Charlotte and Nathan woke up, I was no longer floating..so I just perched my rig on Charlotte's dresser. She was super excited to see me in there..she is always complaining that I don't fly into her room :)

The view is great from up here!
Weeee......

Dear Santa

This is Charlotte's letter to Santa this year. She dictated it to her mommy who wrote it all down...but that smart little 3 year old signed her own name. She is desperate for an American Girl Doll because her cousin, Greta, has one. She idolizes Greta. I have it on good authority (I do talk to Santa every night) that she might be a happy girl on Christmas! She says every day that she hopes Santa will bring her an "American Doll."

Sugar, Sugar, Sugar!!!!

I'm not sure how much all of you know about elf culture...but we LOVE sugar! Yum Yum!!! So, I thought I would get myself a little snack today..it's delicious!!!! To quote the movie Elf, "We elves like to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup."

Charlotte's mom got an e-mail from her school this morning saying that one of the kids in her class has lice! I think it took her all of 3 seconds after reading the e-mail to call Charlotte in the bathroom for a game of "beauty parlor." There was nothing visible, but man...she was thrown right into the bath for a head washing like I've never seen!! They used this leave in conditioner that they got from Charlotte's haircut place...it's supposed to repel lice. Then, while Charlotte was at school...she washed all of the sheets, coats, towels, hats and gloves...that washing machine hasn't stopped all day!! Tuesdays are the days when there are only 4 kids at in her class. The teacher advised her to maybe keep Charlotte's long, beautiful hair up in a bun or pony tail for a few days...the lice like to jump from head to head. The school nurse was in the class today doing head inspections on the few kids that were there. Just what Char's mom needs to deal with :)

Relaxing with a Good Book!

I'm sporting my reading glasses so I can dive into these Christmas classics that I brought the kids. Who doesn't love a good book!
Kicked back and relaxing!
Here I am, perched upon the kids' bookshelf in the playroom
Tonight, I also got to watch as my favorite family of four put up their main Christmas tree! They were going to go and cut down their own this year, but the timing and weather did not work out. So, Charlotte and Nate's dad went out tonight and got a tree. It's a beautiful tree...close to 10 feet tall! It's hard to decorate a tree with the two little ones, I could see everyone getting a little frustrated. It's hard for little kids to be patient and ornaments are very fragile!! There were a couple of casualties, but they are currently on the counter allowing the super glue to dry...I'm keeping my little elf fingers crossed :) Luckily, they weren't very important ones.

Charlotte giving Rudolph a home on the tree...I love Rudolph..he's one of my best friends!
Charlotte comparing her hand to the handprint ornament from when she was a baby

Nate decking the halls
Charlotte putting an ornament on the tree
Beautiful!! I hope I don't ever have to leave this family!!!
Look at those lights! It's like they are jumping off the blog at me!

Charlotte's mom just told her to go to sleep...and Charlotte responded, "But Mommy! I'm allergic to go to sleep!"

Bathroom Hijinx!

Happy Sunday to all of my blog followers...(well, Monday because I am posting this shortly after midnight right before my trip back home for the evening). I felt that I needed to make up for my laziness of simply hiding in a tree yesterday...and make a big splash! So, I took over the guest bathroom...made it my own, brought in my own elf potty (yes, even elves have to go to the bathroom) and TP'd the whole room. It really took the kids a long time to find me :) Their mom and dad even had to prod them by saying, "Are you SURE you checked EVERY room??" They thought the mess was hilarious!! So, I basically just hung out on the toilet all day long...we've all had those days, yes??? Before Charlotte went to bed this evening, she made sure to say to me, "Norman, you make sure to clean up your mess before you leave tonight!" Ha ha! Well, she will be happy to know that I did clean up my mess, I have to set a good example after all. It's fun to play and have fun, but good little boys and girls always clean up their messes :)

Ugh, my little elf tummy doesn't feel so good..maybe too many cookies!
Toilet Paper everywhere!!
I bet you are wondering how my little elf arms threw that toilet paper all the way up there...I may be small, but I can throw..I get lots of practice during the elf snowball fights back home.
Is there anything to read in here?
Nathan kept saying "Norman made a MESS!" Look how happy he is to see me!

O' Christmas Tree

Well, it was a bit of a late night at the Clinnin house last night. The kids didn't seem to want to go down..and Charlotte had the sniffles...so she was ultra crabby and needy. So, by the time she was asleep, I didn't have the energy to cause hijinxs. I had to make my trip back and get home to hide. It was a little rushed, so I just perched myself in one of the many Christmas trees in this house. It actually allowed Char and Nate's mom an opportunity to do something she has been reading up on...photographing Christmas tree lights to make them sparkle. She had to make a lot of manual adjustments to the camera settings and play with it a lot..but she got a few she liked. I can't wait until they get their real tree...I bet the pictures of that one will be amazing!
Hiding in the "silver tree" in the living room
The silver tree...look at those lights sparkle!
The mantle with all of the stockings...beautiful!!!

Brrr...Just Like Home!

I was a little homesick yesterday, I miss my home this time of year. So, I decided to hang out in the freezer so I could have a little taste of home. Charlotte was a little upset yesterday that I was so easy to find on the counter. I decided to give her a challenge. It took some prodding from her mom, but she eventually found me!

Cold...LOVING IT! I actually have frost on my cheeks...perfect!
Nathan taking advantage of the freezer being open and grabbing some pancakes for breakfast
On the way home from dropping off Charlotte at school, I heard something so cute! The mom likes to listen to the Christmas music on the 24 hour Christmas music station (it's like that all year long at the North Pole). Nathan, half asleep, all of the sudden shouted out "CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS" when he heard the theme song on the radio...be still my little elf heart..I love this kid! Nate and Charlotte love watching that movie..it makes me so happy!

Hot Chocolate!

This morning, I brought a treat for the kids all the way from the North Pole....Hot Chocolate :) They loved having a morning treat, but Charlotte was a little miffed that I was so easy to find...we'll fix that tomorrow :)
Bringing my favorite kids a special treat

North Pole Air Coming in for Landing!

Whew! Well, sorry for the last post today, everyone. Believe it or not, I have gotten hooked on the show, Breaking Bad. Yep, elves watch dramatic TV. So, by the time I got done watching a few episodes, I just couldn't gather the strength to post in the blog :( Although I love that show, I have a feeling that most of the people on it would be on the naughty list! But, not Charlotte and Nathan, they are such good kids! Did you know that Charlotte has TWO elves??? She has me, obviously the best one. But, she also has an elf at her school that hides there too?? Not many kids get two elves dedicated to them, she must be special (or REALLY BAD...but, probably special) Here's some pictures of them finding me this morning!
Where is Norman???
Oh yeah, I just swooped in on this vintage plane. How cool do I look? All the lady elves were swooning as I took off from the North Pole to come back. Who doesn't love a guy with a pilot's license?
Just hanging around waiting for my favorite kids to come and spot me!
I could get used to this!

Hermey's Got Nothing on Me!

One of my good friends from the North Pole, Hermey, is always going on and on about wanting to be a dentist and how kids and elves should brush their teeth. So, I thought I would show Charlotte and Nathan how important dental hygiene is to me and to the big guy up North. They were really excited to find me today...and it took them a while to spot me all the way upstairs in their bathroom. It was a fun start to their day. Charlotte finally went back to school today after her Thanksgiving break. They had a French lesson today in school...and let's just say that Charlotte isn't a huge fan of French. Maybe if a character on Nickelodeon spoke French, she would like it more. She better get used to it, because at her school, French is mandatory. So, she'll be around it a few more years. Bonjour!

I hope they find me soon, I love seeing their faces!
I had to sign my handiwork!! I hope their mom isn't mad about the mess :)
Just hanging around!
I left Charlotte and Nathan a little gift for today
They found me!
So excited that I brought them gifts!
Nathan couldn't wait to get brushing
